When I paint, I love getting lost in texture — those thick, uneven layers where the art feels like it’s almost reaching out to you. "Ridges" was all about that — building up the surface until the canvas itself felt like a landscape.
Blues and purples set a cool, moody tone, but look closer and you'll find bursts of brighter color — streaks of teal, hints of green, and little glimmers of pink peeking through. The whole piece feels like it's been weathered by time.
I wanted this piece to have a sense of quiet energy — the kind of art that doesn’t shout for attention but still pulls you in the longer you look.
